โš  Important note

The pheasant is one of the birds most often killed on Italian roads. Collisions occur mainly at dawn and dusk when they cross roads between fields and woods. The grey partridge is in sharp decline in intensive farmland areas. Gamebirds found after hunting seasons may have embedded shot pellets โ€” inform the CRAS.

โš– Legal protection

The pheasant and red-legged partridge are huntable species with a hunting calendar. The grey partridge is in decline and in some regions subject to strict limitations. The wild quail is protected.
